I’m Ella, an illustrator and artist originally from Tel Aviv, now based in Prague.

Drawing has always been the way I make sense of ideas, characters, and stories.

My work is colorful and often slightly strange, combining humor, emotion, and surreal details to create playful visual worlds with a strong narrative voice.

I work primarily in publishing and narrative illustration, including children’s books, illustrated books, comics, graphic storytelling, editorial illustration and independent publications.

I enjoy developing characters and visual worlds, finding the right atmosphere for a story, and turning written ideas into images that add something of their own.

Alongside publishing, I also work across editorial, animation, and selected commercial illustration projects.

​

My approach can move between bold, playful imagery and more atmospheric or intimate storytelling, depending on the project, while keeping a distinctive hand drawn quality at the center of the work.

I also teach art, illustration, and comics to children, teenagers, and adults.

I’m always interested in collaborating with publishers, authors, art directors, magazines, studios, and other creative partners on projects with a strong visual or narrative identity.
